Meet the Dutch Fashion Designer Behind COOCLAIRE
CooClaire was founded from a passion for fashion design and a unique connection between European creativity and China’s fashion industry.
In 2011, founder Ursula Pelt moved to China to begin her design career with one of China’s leading fashion houses. Over the years, she gained extensive experience across design, product development, fabric sourcing, and production, while building strong relationships with trusted manufacturing partners.
After years of working within the fashion industry, Ursula joined forces with fellow Dutch entrepreneur Alain Sloot to create CooClaire — a contemporary womenswear studio and design & production partner helping brands and boutiques create their own collections and labels.
CooClaire’s own collections are a reflection of our design vision and expertise — created as a tool to inspire and demonstrate what is possible.
Through these collections, we showcase our approach to fabrics, silhouettes, details, and production quality, giving partners a foundation to develop their own unique pieces.
Today, CooClaire works closely with brands and boutiques to transform ideas into finished collections. From design direction and fabric selection to sampling, production, and quality control, we combine European design sensibility with trusted small-batch manufacturing in Shenzhen China.
