The Story Behind CooClaire

CooClaire was founded from a passion for fashion design and a unique connection between European design and China’s fashion industry.

In 2011, founder Ursula Pelt moved to China to begin her design career with one of China’s leading fashion houses. Over the years, she gained extensive experience in the fashion industry, built strong relationships with trusted production partners, and made China her home.

After many years working in fashion companies, Ursula joined forces with fellow Dutch entrepreneur Alain Sloot to create CooClaire — a womenswear brand and design&production partner combining creative vision with trusted small-batch production.

Today, CooClaire creates its own collections while partnering with brands and boutiques to develop exclusive capsule collections and private label ranges. With a focus on contemporary cotton womenswear, thoughtful design, and close collaboration, we bring ideas to life from concept direction through to final production.
